We promote awareness and maintenance of our constitutional and statutory rights by encouraging free public and private expression, communication with public officials, and voting. We are committed to reversing the assaults on person and law resulting from the USA PATRIOT Act and relevant government regulations, executive orders, and laws.Who we are:
Herman M. Frankel, M.D., is a pediatrician, teacher, and father who has lived in Portland with his wife, Ruth, since 1965. His involvement in defending civil rights, like his activities devoted to protecting the health and well-being of children and their families, takes place in the context of his lifelong work for peace and social justice.William Pickard has worked for a technology company for the past ten years. His concern for civil liberties has found him working with Rights 101 Oregon. He believes that, without civil liberties, we will be unable to work towards many of the other issues that we care about.
